Passover Seder Celebration - April 19th:
We will be holding a Passover Seder on Friday evening, April 19th at 6:00. For those of you who have never attended a celebration of the Passover, this is the meal that Jesus ate with His disciples on the night He was betrayed. We often refer to it as the Last Supper. It is a Jewish feast that celebrates how the Lord "passed over" the homes of the Israelites when He killed the first born son as the tenth plague in Egypt. This was one of the required celebrations for Jews. Your understanding of God and Jesus and the significance of Jesus as our Passover Lamb will be enhanced by this experience. The Seder ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m., but note that we will not actually eat dinner until closer to 6:45 or 7:00. This will be a potluck dinner, and we will have sign ups beginning in April so we can plan for the ceremonial components of the dinner. This is a great experience for the whole family!
Easter Sunday - April 21st:
Please join us for a simple donut and muffin fellowship at 9:30 on Easter Sunday morning in the Fellowship Hall. This would be a great time to bring your family, friends, and neighbors to have a chance to get to know some of our body before celebrating the resurrection of Jesus together! We will have invite cards beginning in April to give to those you invite as a visual reminder.
This year, our Easter Offering will be donated to a local ministry, Loaves and Fishes, which operates out of MCSA. Just as Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes of the young boy to feed thousands, we pray that not only will our offering be used to meet physical needs in our area, but that lives would be touched with the gospel that leads to salvation. We encourage you to not only give financially to this offering, but to also consider how you, your family, or your small group can become involved in "hands-on" ministry!
