WMF April Update

Posted by WMF Board on

We had a busy month in March helping make lunches for the Judson Choir and working to provide concessions for the Quilt Show that was held at our church! A big "Thank You" to those who helped work concessions or donated desserts! A limited run of egg rolls was produced for the quilt show concessions bringing back memories for many of us. We have also enjoyed meeting together and praying for our church, our missionaries, and one another.

April 29th - Flowers of Friendship
We are coordinating another outreach/ministry event the last Sunday in April called "Flowers of Friendship". This will be the 3rd year we have taken flowers with Scripture tags to our members who are not able to get our regularly as well as to many others in nursing homes and rehab centers. On Sunday, April 29th we will serve a light luncheon immediately after the service and then get our "assignments" for taking flowers, kind words, and joy to these special people in Muscatine. This is open to the whole body at FBC, and it is a great way to get your children involved in sharing the love of Jesus with others! Look for a sign up for the luncheon beginning Sunday, April 8th so we can plan the food. We plan on ordering 300 flowers, so we need lots of you to plan on coming to distribute them!

Operation Christmas Child
Thank you to those who have already donated some of our monthly focus items for our year-round collection! We are heading into Spring, and what a great time to find cute little stuffed animals on sale! For the month of April, in addition to any of the items on the bulletin board list, our featured item to collect is stuffed animals. Please remember that it is preferred the items be new, but if it is gently used, it cannot have stains or odor. Check the bulletin board to the left of the main sanctuary doors for some of the impacts for the gospel a simple gift of a shoe box has had in hard to reach areas of the world!

Remember that wherever you are, you can shine the light of Jesus and bring glory to Him!

Serving Him,
Jan Hoffman
